Méér Muziek in de Klas (More Music in the Classroom) organizes an online workshop music education for primary school teachers and students on St. Martin, Saba & Statia. The workshop is free of charge and will take place via Zoom or Teams on Monday 30 May at 13:30 - 15:30.
During this low-key workshop, we will work with materials from Bon dia Goedemorgen by Izaline Calister (CUR). The songs in this book are originally in Dutch and Papiamento, but they have now also been translated into English for your use.
You will learn how to incorporate music in the classroom. You will receive ideas and accessible ways to teach children music. You don't have to be a professional musician to do this. The workshop is interactive so not only will you receive the ideas but you will also experience them during the workshop.
The workshop will be given by Nini Veltman (Codarts Conservatory Rotterdam) and will be in English. The times (13:30 - 15:30) are Caribbean time. We hope to see you there!
